IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COVID-19

Hi everyone,

 
As things stand, the corona virus is in full force and doesn’t seem to be diminishing any time soon. For the health and safety of you, your family members, the public, we as a collective of coaches have decided it would be the best thing to have the gym closed for the following week and re-assessed to reopen:
Monday March 23 at 5:45am.
 
We will continue to re-assess each day by listening to the suggestions from the Government of Canada website, and keep you updated as much as possible through the Crossfit South Surrey website. Please check it daily for updates and wods you can do from home.
 
Just because the gym is closed doesn’t mean fitness needs to stop. Each coach is very excited to program an at home workout for you to do (needing no or minimal equipment) that we want to challenge you to complete!
 
We are hoping you can understand during this difficult time that this is the best thing to do, as limiting social contact in highly contagious places has been recommended. 
 
We at CFSS is a small community gym and this will allow me to deep clean and put in necessary step to ensure we don’t spread any germs.  
 
We would like you to know that we will open the gym AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. For some incentives we will run classes over some future holidays to make up for the closed days.  
We will be doing our best to make up for lost days and putting out home workouts. 
We will also run a few small fun in-house competitions with goodies as a little extra to show our appreciation of your patience and understanding at this time! 
When coming back theses below steps from my insurance company must be followed below. 
 
The health and wellness of our team and our members is our primary concern during the Covid-19 outbreak.    To ensure the continued well-being of everyone, we want to ensure you that we have further heightened our high standard of cleanliness that you have always come to expect at your gym.   To keep all safe, please:
·         Wash your hands thoroughly before AND after your workout sessions

·        Breath test… can you hold your breath for 10 seconds 

·         Use sanitizing wipes to wipe down all equipment that you have used
·         Elbow bumps, feet taps or bow,  in place of high fives
·         If you are sick, it’s not that we don’t love you, but please stay home until you are well
 
For members that would like alternate workouts to do at home, please check the travel wods or ask us for a wod. No one is happy about this closure and it feels like a bad movie, so sorry it has come to this!
